v0.6.15: Sturdier setup and a tidier portal

Setup recovers from failed Azure deployments, reuses existing sign-in and runner apps safely, and ships a permissions reference; the portal gains a theme toggle and shows times on your own clock.

What’s new

  • Setup recovers from a failed Azure deployment. If a deployment fails part-way, setup explains what happened and lets you retry, instead of getting stuck on the old operation.
  • Permissions reference in setup. Every permission Maester Cloud asks for, and why, is listed in the wizard. The same list is on the public permissions page.
  • Light, dark, or system theme. The portal and setup app have a three-way theme toggle and icons in the navigation.
  • Times on your clock. Run times in the portal are shown in your local time zone.
  • Consistent email design. Mail sent by your instance uses one branded template.
  • Runner schedule from setup. The finish step links straight to the runner schedule in your portal.

Fixes

  • Setup reuses the portal sign-in app it created earlier, identified by its deployment tag. App owners no longer block the reuse.
  • A runner app that was deleted in Entra can be restored from the recycle bin, and leftover apps can be removed.
  • The portal checks storage far less often while idle, which lowers the running cost of your instance.
  • The sign-in step reads as guidance, with “Configure automatically” and “Configure manually” side by side.
  • Long values in error messages, such as Azure resource IDs, wrap instead of overflowing the page.

How to update

Open setup.maester.cloud, choose your instance, and select Update. The update applies in place, and your stored results and history are untouched.
